Safety first
Perhaps the biggest challenge facing Asian farmers today is a lack of knowledge and good practices on safe, effective and environmentally conscious handling, application and storage of crop protection products. CropLife Asia and its member companie work to bridge that gap with responsible-use training projects across the region.
We begin on the ground and in the field, working with distributors, retailers, spray technicians, farmers and their families to ensure that all these stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge and training necessary to make the latest generation of crop protection products work best for them and even take their knowledge further to fellow farmers.
F or many farmers in remote areas in the region , these responsible-use training projects have been their first formal exposure to good agricultural practices. Farmers we work with are enthusiastic learners as training courses actually demonstrate the social , environmental and economic benefits of responsible use of crop protection products.
